The MMD has lodged
a complaint to the Electral Commission of Zambia against
Michael Sata over his alleged remarks at a rally on Sunday
that he would deport investors of Lebanese, Chinese and
Indian origin when he assumes office.
But Sata said it was shameful that the MMD was using the
public media to distort his campaign messages.
"It is a very big shame for the public media to distort
what I said at the public meeting. Why is it that it's only
them (the public media)? The Post was there and they covered
me adequately and exactly as I said things at the public
meeting, are they not ashamed of that?" Sata asked.
"Anyway they are not ashamed because they know that
they are being used by government and Vernon Mwanga's team
to do what they are doing."
He maintained that he would dport bogus investors to pave
way for serious ones.
"All bogus inverstors will have to leave the country
when I take over. We only want serious investors both local
and foreign. In fact, we already have serious local investors
that have shown that they can do it. Such as Lamasat, Lamis,
Trade Knings and others so why should we keep bogus investors
when our local ones are even better than them?" Sata
asked. "So bogus investors will have to leave and I
have no apologies to make over that. These new deal investors
who are bogus have to go. I still maintain what I said."
